KOTC adds WindFest and Kids Camp to event lineup.

New to the King of the Cape this year will be the addition of the WindFest Demo Tour and Nevin Sayre’s Kids Camp. Manufacturers from around the country will be setting up booths at West Dennis beach during the KOTC event. There will be demos for all the latest 2003 equipment as well as lessons and clinics for all levels. Jerry LaMaita, Director for the AWIA, will be coordinating this effort; bringing in a whole new demographic to the sport at the King of the Cape. We are excited to have WindFest on board and think this is a positive direction for the event.

Nevin Sayre’s Kids Camp will also be running during the event weekend to help promote windsurfing to the kids within the community of Cape Cod. This event usually runs in August, but has moved to team up with WindFest and KOTC to create the biggest and best windsurfing festival.

With the addition of the Kids Camp to the event there will be the possibility of a junior Windglider division for the freestyle competition. Stay posted for more news on this development.
